On 4 July 2025, we gathered industry leaders, sustainability experts, and supply chain professionals for our ’Nature-Positive Hospitality’ roundtable, hosted in partnership with The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Centre for Hospitality and Real Estate Research. The engaging discussions, focused on fostering resilient supply chains and promoting biodiversity conservation within Hong Kong’s hospitality sector, were both insightful and action-driven.

Highlights from the session included:

  • Andy Cornish, Founder and Chief Strategist of Cornerstone Strategies, shared insights into the government’s approach to sustainable sourcing.

  • Marine Thomas, Associate Director of The Nature Conservancy, highlighted Hong Kong's biodiversity and the potential for nature-based solutions to enhance sustainability efforts in the hospitality industry.

  • Collaborative development of recommendations for the public consultation on the Hong Kong Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, which closed on 11 July 2025.

  • Discussion of mechanisms to incentivise hospitality companies’ participation in biodiversity conservation.

The insights gathered will directly inform our Sustainable Hospitality Roadmap, ensuring practical strategies for the industry.
