RTHK3 Trash Talk Interview with G.R.E.E.N.'s Lucia Loposova

Want to learn more about sustainability and hospitality in Hong Kong? What has it been like for the green hospitality industry during the pandemic? And what is all this trash talk about anyways?

With the annual G.R.E.E.N Hospitality conference and Hackathon coming up, Lucia Loposova, our very own G.R.E.E.N Hospitality program manager discusses her views on the current practices in the Hospitality industry of Hong Kong and what G.R.E.E.N Hospitality has been doing to involve stakeholders and sustainability leaders in the collective journey to a greener future. Listen along with RTHK3 Trash talk podcast host Marcy Trent Long as we embark on the quest for new and innovative perspectives on hospitality sustainability. With the rising use of single-use plastics due to recent health concerns, Lucia and the G.R.E.E.N team have been focusing on waste, primarily plastic and food waste research that has been conducted by our own researchers. Lucia talks about the relationships between consumer and hospitality regarding the Hong Kong waste crisis and how the pandemic has surprisingly benefited their soap cycling program.

With all the extensive quarantines and social distancing laws, the podcast provides the perfect opportunity to educate ourselves, explore and listen to valuable insights towards sustainable hospitality, in this difficult time of uncertainty and isolation.

So...Let’s talk about trash!
