Mr Edwin Keh is the CEO of The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel. He also teaches supply chain operations in the Operations, Information and Decisions Department of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Edwin was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2020 by the HKSAR Gov for his research work during the pandemic. He was named the best of Top 50 Innovative Retail Leaders by Inside Retail Hong Kong in 2019 and is on the Debrett’s Hong Kong 100 as one of the most influential people in Technology and Digital sector, and a recipient of the Production and Operations Management Society’s Excellence in Production and Operations Management Practice Award. Carmen Ng is Director of Sustainability at Langham Hospitality Group. In her role, she leads and drives the sustainability strategy within the Group. She is responsible for a diverse range of sustainability programmes including strategy and policies development, management system, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, communication and reporting. She also believes in sustainability is everyone’s responsibility and her role is implanting this concept like a DNA into every colleague in the company.
Founder of MakerBay, Senior Lecturer at HKU
Cesar is a French-Japanese inventor, environmentalist, entrepreneur and educator living in Hong Kong. He is currently the Director of MakerBay, Hong Kong’s MakerSpace for Social and Environmental Impact. He is also the Director of Scoutbots and inventor of Protei, a revolutionary shape-shifting sailing robot conceived for cleaning oil spills in the ocean, which won the StartMeUp HK Grand Award as well as the Fast Company 2015 Most Innovative 10 Companies in China. He is a TED Senior Fellow and his TED Talk “How I teach kids to love science” has been translated into 36 languages and viewed over 1.5 million times. Cesar holds numerous awards and is a graduate of the Royal College of Arts London, Design Interactions Department, and worked at MIT as a Project Leader and Researcher. Today he teaches for the new Bachelor of Arts and Sciences+ at the University of Hong Kong and is a frequent speaker, judge, mentor, designer, researcher and developer.

Carine Pin is Co-Director of The Mills Fabrica and focuses on building the techstyle community, developing partnerships and designing Fabrica’s incubation program.
Prior to joining Fabrica, Carine worked in marketing and consulting at major international luxury brands including Guerlain, Richemont Group and Shanghai Tang, where she held various positions in corporate marketing, communication and operational marketing, strategic marketing and product development as well as business operations. Carine also worked as a consultant helping smaller international premium and luxury brands expand their business in Asia and local companies develop new products and retail concepts.
With a passion to help and connect, Carine is a MIM in Performance Management graduate from French business school NEOMA.
Founder at Wealth Of Flows Consulting
Helga founded “Wealth of Flows Consulting” which helps organizations around the globe set powerful sustainability and circular economy agendas and strategies. Before that, Helga was a senior expert with McKinsey & Company for 13 years, where she initiated its Circular Economy service line. She was the lead author on numerous reports with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and a frequent speaker and panelist on circular economy topics. Helga has worked around the world with clients in the materials, engineering, and consumer sectors to identify how they can grow and innovate by reducing their lifetime material intensity – this includes business-model and product (re)design as well as reconfigured reverse logistics. Before joining McKinsey in 2006, Helga was a scientific officer at the European Chemicals Bureau of the European Commission, where she researched life-cycle assessment approaches. Helga has a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Policy, and a Master in Business Administration from IMD in Switzerland.

Natalie Lung is the Program Manager for the Food Technology Accelerator Programs at Brinc, a global venture capital and accelerator firm that empowers entrepreneurs to help solve some of the world's biggest challenges. In her role, Natalie invests in and supports startups that are using technology to make the food system more sustainable and efficient. Through the program, Brinc has made 40+ investments in the food tech space encompassing Alternative Proteins, Novel Ingredients, Functional Foods, Food Supply Chain Optimisation and Logistics.

Dr. Shauhrat S. Chopra obtained his Integrated Masters of Science in Systems Biology from the University of Hyderabad, India in 2011. He received his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, in 2015. His doctoral dissertation was focused on resilience of complex systems including economic systems, industrial symbiosis, and critical infrastructure systems at urban and national levels. Before joining the School of Energy and Environment, Shauhrat worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Environmental Science and Policy, University of Illinois at Chicago, on the U.S. EPA funded LCnano project focused on sustainable design of future transformative nano-enabled products. His data-driven research is focused on designing indicators for sustainability and resilience of the built environment in support of environmental decision-making.

Data Scientist at ADM Capital Foundation
Ashley is a data scientist at ADM Capital Foundation who is passionate about applying spatial and statistical modeling techniques to address themes around climate change, conservation, and sustainability. As a Fulbright Research Fellow and NOAA Hollings Scholar, she has gone from characterizing critical habitats of salmon in Alaska to quantifying coral reef resilience in Taiwan. Her recent publications with the Foundation include: ‘Eat Without Waste: Hong Kong’s Takeout Packaging Challenge’ and ‘Sink or Swim: The future of fisheries in the East and South China Seas’.
Dr Dawn Chui has been advocating and commercializing innovation solutions along the sustainability line. Since 2020, she dedicates efforts in an innovative food waste management solutions which is hyperlocal, hygienic, organic and friendly to the environment, and bringing optimal operational efficiency. Earlier, Dawn had set up and managed the China-Italy Innovation Center in Shenzhen working with the authorities, academia and investors. Julia Washbourne came from Germany to HK in 2005 as a purchasing manager for a renowned mail order company. Her work exposed her to the issues of pollution and waste in the global supply chains. At Bamboa, they design and produce home and lifestyle products using the sustainable source bamboo. Their products range from bamboo bed sheets, blankets, towels, bathroom items and many more.

Tim Parker is an Engineer, turned Educator, turned Entrepreneur, and is the founder of Circular City, a green tech company developing reuse and return solutions for cities to go zero waste. Circular City has recently won several innovation awards for their successful pilot of CHOOSE: REUSE, a "smart" reusable coffee cup borrow and return system operating on the ferry route between Discovery Bay and Central.

Before joining The Mills Fabrica, she worked at a startup incubation hub leading the corporate innovation projects in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. She started her career as a banker, with over seven years of experience in credit analysis, client relationship management, corporate & digital strategy in Asia Pacific office. She covered apparel / footwear manufacturers, property developers and government entities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the USA.

Prior to joining The Mills Fabrica, she was involved in various research-related roles, including R&D at Nissin Foods with a focus on development and impraovement of food formulations. Jenna holds a BSc in Food Science from McGill University, where she was actively involved in scientific research projects in food microbiology and developmental biology. With a background in Food Science, Research & Development, and Product Development, Jenna merges her analytical research skills with her passion for fashion, food, and technology.
