Pre-selection

  1. Phase 1 applicants will be asked to submit their proposed ideas before 11 June 2022. A pre-selection might be necessary if a considerable number of teams register. Selected teams will then proceed to the next stage of the competition, which is the GREEN Hackathon Pitching Day.

  2. All members of the shortlisted teams must be present online on the GREEN Hackathon Pitching Day (18 Jun 2022) and GREEN Hackathon Innovation Night (4 Jul 2022). In case of any unforeseen circumstances (eg.: sickness), the participant will need to provide proof of absence.

  3. Teams can use an idea or concept they had before the event, but there should not be any existing or tested prototype prior to the event. They are allowed to use information from the resource list provided to them or any other free/owned sources, while being mindful of plagiarism.

GREEN Hackathon Pitching Day

  1. All teams will be split into three groups according to the three challenges. Three groups will be judged by a different panel of judges based on their theme. Teams will have 5 min to pitch their ideas.

GREEN Hackathon Innovation Night

  1. Each team will get 5 minutes to pitch their project to the judges during the GREEN Hackathon Innovation Night (04 July 2022). Pitching will be followed by 3 minutes of Q&A by the judges.

  2. All pitches will be evaluated by the panel of judges. The final decisions of the judges are to be based on the following parameters: Quality of idea, Originality of idea, Potential for implementation and Impact, and Presentation. The panel will assign a score to each parameter, which will then determine the ranking of each participating team. The final decision of the judges cannot be challenged and is binding.
